“It only takes one idea, one second in time, one friend, one dream, one leap of faith, to change everything, forever. Just one! Yet eternity lies in the palm of your hand.” (Quote taken from Facebook)
Ever wonder where you’ll be in 10 years? What will you have accomplished? Ever look back at where you came from? Did you do what God wanted you to do?
Looking back on my life, I had many an opportunity to live life the way I thought was best, even if it wasn’t what God wanted. Had I done that, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Our precious girls would probably still be on the street with their drug addicted, prostitute birth mother. Kyzer and the twins wouldn’t even exist. I wouldn’t be married to the best man in the world. I wouldn’t be sitting here writing this.
But, I had a revelation- my decisions affect others, not just me.
When you get out of God’s will, you become very selfish and think only of yourself. Because of this, you don’t realize the effect your decisions have on other people. You do what you want, regardless of the consequences. Your decisions affect others to where they could lose out with God as well. So many people are looking at you, watching your reaction to their actions. Believe it or not, at times, people make decisions in their lives based on the choices you make.
Some people’s lives are affected by you in ways they can’t even control. Take children, for example. They can’t really make decisions on their own; they depend on others to make them. What decisions are you making for the children in your life? Just because they aren’t your children doesn’t mean they aren’t affected.
Kind of a scary thought, huh? People’s lives are affected by the choices I make.... Guess that means I’d better make the right decisions. The only way to be sure the decisions you make are the right ones is to follow God’s leading and His plan.
So, dear friends, the next time you have to make a decision, remember all of the people in your life that you will affect.
Salut!
